Smart Mineral Reservoirs

MagnoSil™ is a patented mesoporous biomaterial. Each particle is engineered with a hierarchical pore structure containing thousands of organized channels (from 2 nm to 100 nm) that act as intelligent mineral reservoirs.

These pores encapsulate and protect essential ions such as calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, then release them in a controlled, sustained manner directly where the tooth surface needs support.

With a reactive surface area exceeding 500 m²/g (BET method), MagnoSil™ is designed to release beneficial ions significantly faster than conventional bioactive glass materials.

02 · Mineral Formula

The Power of Magnesium Co-Doping

Most bioactive materials rely solely on calcium and phosphorus. MagnoSil™ integrates magnesium directly into the molecular framework of each particle, creating a unique biological catalyst.

On contact with the tooth surface, this formulation triggers a Tri-Phasic sequential release. Magnesium activates first, priming the surface. Calcium and phosphate follow in sequence, working together to support the natural hydroxyapatite formation process, the key mineral that constitutes healthy tooth enamel.

In vitro studies suggest magnesium co-doping may also contribute to antimicrobial activity against common oral bacteria, including Streptococcus mutans.

Traditional bioactive materials can take many hours to begin forming a protective layer. Thanks to its unique structure, MagnoSil™ is designed to initiate mineral deposition significantly faster, contributing to protection from early use.

Importantly, MagnoSil™ does not only act on the tooth surface. The particles are engineered to penetrate deep into the dentinal tubules, the microscopic channels within every tooth. Once inside, they help form a mineral occlusion that may reduce sensitivity triggers and support the tooth's structural integrity from within.

In vitro testing has shown hydroxyapatite layer formation in less than 2.5 hours, compared to 12+ hours for conventional reference bioactive materials.
